Why do people have trouble sleeping?
I think that everyone has had trouble sleeping at some point in their life. The problem could be from something like stress at work which tenses your muscles and stops your brain from winding down, or even something as simple as your room being the wrong temperature. Or it could be one of a multitude of other things that is keeping you awake, there is a long list of possible causes. Yet don’t worry, all you need to do is isolate the one which is causing you trouble and then you can get rid of it and get some sleep.
I’d say that people generally start to look for a solution after they have been having trouble sleeping for 2 to 3 days. Getting a good nights sleep is crucial to our health and our function throughout the day. Without giving our body time to rest and heal, and our mind time to organize itself, then we wake up feeling groggy, we can’t think as well, our reaction times are poor (bad for driving) and our energy throughout the day is lacking. So to get yourself back on track you need to sit down with a cup of coffee and think about exactly what has changed recently in your life.
That might sound simplistic, but you did manage to sleep ok before this incident, which means that something has had to change in your life to mess things up. Maybe your partner is away and you miss the sound of their breathing or the movement they make at night? Sometimes when you are used to noises like that at night then the sudden silence that descends when they are gone can feel oppressive. Consider getting a 980a Sound Conditioner if that is the problem.
Sit down and really think about what has changed, you’ll soon realize what has and then you can start taking steps to rectify it (like getting air con if your room is too hot, or talking to your boss if your workload at work has drastically increased).
